China Power International Development Limited (02380) has announced that on February 5, 2026, its non-wholly owned subsidiary, Xinyuan Zhichu, acting as the supplier, entered into a BESS procurement contract with Tuoli Company. Under the agreement, Xinyuan Zhichu will supply energy storage system equipment, components, and related services for the Tacheng project, with a contract value of RMB 452 million (approximately HKD 507.9 million). Providing equipment, spare parts, and services for the Tacheng project's energy storage system will enable Xinyuan Zhichu to gain market share and accumulate expertise in the energy storage sector. This initiative supports the group's strategy of building a comprehensive new energy supply chain and aligns with its strategic goal of transitioning into a green, low-carbon energy supplier and service provider. The contract price is consistent with prevailing market rates for similar energy storage system equipment, components, and auxiliary services offered by other companies. The board of directors considers the terms and pricing of the BESS procurement contract to be no less favorable than those the group could obtain from independent third parties.
