从明年5月起，美国航空将从费城直飞维也纳，届时它将成为唯一运营该航线的美国航空公司。值得注意的是，这一服务将持续到2028年1月初，为前往欧洲圣诞市场的游客提供便利。此外，费城至雷克雅未克的新航线标志着美国航空重返冰岛市场——该公司上一次执飞该航线还要追溯到2019年。
总部位于德克萨斯州沃斯堡的美国航空还将新增从纽约肯尼迪机场（JFK）飞往阿姆斯特丹和法国尼斯的航班，以及从北卡罗来纳州夏洛特飞往巴塞罗那的航线。这些新航线的推出，无疑将进一步加剧国际航空市场的竞争态势。
