At the 2025 Guangzhou International Auto Show, NIO Inc. founder, chairman, and CEO Li Bin stated that large three-row pure electric SUVs achieved a sales milestone in September, topping the segment for the first time. By October, sales exceeded 39,000 units, significantly outpacing extended-range large three-row SUVs, which recorded only 24,000 units. This validates Li Bin's earlier prediction that "the era of large three-row pure electric SUVs has arrived."
Li Bin first identified this inflection point in August, and within just two months, the data has strongly confirmed his forecast. At the event, he declared, "The golden age of large three-row pure electric SUVs is now here!"
This shift stems from NIO Inc.'s years of investment in pure electric technology, intelligent systems, and its battery-swapping infrastructure. Notably, traditional extended-range automakers are also launching pure electric models, further reinforcing the industry trend. Li Bin emphasized that while different markets may favor varying technological approaches, in China, the golden era for large three-row pure electric SUVs has fully begun.
