On 13 November 2025, Standard Chartered PLC (02888) released a Next Day Disclosure Return indicating no changes to its total number of issued shares, which remained at 2,281,110,194 as of 12 November 2025. However, additional transactions from 10 to 12 November 2025 were identified as share repurchases slated for cancellation. These included 474,610 shares repurchased on 10 November at GBP16.2512, 465,235 shares on 11 November at GBP16.3927, and 465,542 shares on 12 November at GBP16.4086, pending formal cancellation.

On 12 November 2025 specifically, the company repurchased 465,542 shares on multiple exchanges—London Stock Exchange, CBOE BXE, and CBOE CXE—at prices ranging from GBP16.33 to GBP16.49, for an aggregate cost of GBP7,638,859.87. Under a repurchase mandate approved on 8 May 2025, it was previously authorized to repurchase up to 236,377,715 shares. Since adoption of the resolution, a total of 80,277,559 shares (equivalent to approximately 3.3962% of the shares in issue at the time) have been bought back. The repurchased shares are intended for cancellation under the existing authority, which remains valid through the 2026 annual general meeting or until 7 August 2026, whichever is earlier.
