SICC (02631) surged over 7% in early trading. As of press time, the stock was up 6.08% to HK$44.66, with a turnover of HK$104 million.

On the news front, in the first half of this year, SICC achieved total revenue of approximately 794 million yuan, with net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company at approximately 10.88 million yuan. Currently, the group has formed a 6/8/12-inch silicon carbide substrate product matrix, including 12-inch high-purity semi-insulating silicon carbide substrates, 12-inch conductive P-type and 12-inch conductive N-type silicon carbide substrates.

Industry analysis indicates that SICC is a leading enterprise in China's silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor substrate materials sector. The company started with technological breakthroughs and gradually achieved industrialization breakthroughs from 4-inch to 12-inch substrates. Looking ahead, leveraging the company's technological advantages, with the Hong Kong stock listing and breakthroughs in emerging applications such as AI glasses and data centers, the company may usher in a second growth phase.

SICC recently stated on an interactive platform that the company relies on its R&D, production and management experience to continuously improve its advantages in product large-scale development. Currently, it is promoting dual-wheel drive of product large-scale development and production efficiency improvement to help customers continuously reduce the cost of using silicon carbide substrates, thereby promoting the accelerated application of silicon carbide substrates in more application scenarios.

From the perspective of cooperation results, the company has currently established business cooperation relationships with more than half of the world's top ten power semiconductor device manufacturers (by 2024 revenue). The company's customers Infineon and ON Semiconductor have successfully entered the supply chains of industry giants such as NVIDIA, becoming important components of AI computing power infrastructure.
