KWG Group released its 2025 Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Report, highlighting operational stability amid China’s ongoing property-sector adjustment and detailing progress in debt management, green construction and community initiatives.
Bond Restructuring and Liquidity KWG successfully completed the restructuring of several on-shore corporate bonds in 2025. Creditor approval enabled maturity extensions and optimized repayment schedules, bolstering cash-flow flexibility and medium-term risk resilience.
Project Delivery and Business Mix • Residential delivery: 5,855 units handed over, representing c. 900,000 sq.m of floor area. • Commercial portfolio: 12 shopping malls, 9 office buildings and 13 self-owned Mulian brand hotels in operation; 5 franchised hotels under international brands.
Green Building Expansion • Certified projects: 109 green-building certifications in Mainland China; a further 42 projects in the certification pipeline. • Flagship recognitions: Guangzhou International Metropolis Plaza received a three-star “Zero Carbon Digital Intelligence” rating; The Corniche (Hong Kong) secured BEAM Plus Provisional Gold. • Green finance: The Group’s 2021 Green Financing Framework remains in place; Sustainalytics provided a second-party opinion.
Environmental Performance (selected metrics) • Total greenhouse-gas emissions: 15.40 million kg CO₂-e (Scope 1: 1.12 million kg; Scope 2: 14.08 million kg; Scope 3: 0.20 million kg). • Energy consumption: 30.79 million kWh; electricity accounted for 93% of indirect energy use. • Water consumption: 0.94 million cu m; no material water-supply constraints reported. • Solid waste: 0.29 tonne hazardous and 96.93 tonnes non-hazardous generated.
Human Capital • Workforce: 1,649 employees (59% male, 41% female). • Turnover rate: 61.92%; average training hours: 11.21 per employee. • Safety: zero work-related fatalities; 63 lost workdays. • Talent pipeline: “KWG New Emerging Force”, “KWG Motive” and “KWG Tripod” programmes provide structured career development.
Supply-Chain Oversight • Supplier base: 29,238 vendors, with mandatory compliance screening on environmental permits, safety licences and product quality. • Penalty framework: non-conforming suppliers face suspension (≥2 years) or permanent blacklisting.
Community & Philanthropy Through KWG Art Museum and office-community platforms, the Group focused on rural education and resource recycling—donating books to Guizhou’s Shangba Township Ethnic Primary School and running charity bazaars benefiting Yuchi School in Hunan.
Governance Structure ESG governance is led by the Board, with implementation via the Audit Committee, an ESG Committee and a cross-functional Working Group. Climate-related disclosures align with IFRS S1/S2 guidance; no quantitative emissions-reduction targets have been set to date.
Outlook KWG will prioritise green construction, low-carbon operations and smart-service integration while maintaining prudent financial management to support long-term sustainable growth.
