As the National Day holiday enters its fifth day, many people are beginning their return journeys ahead of schedule during the latter half of the break.
Traffic management authorities predict that starting today, a peak in return traffic will emerge heading toward Beijing, with the heaviest concentration of returning vehicles expected during the afternoon hours.
Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing Railway Station, Beijing North Railway Station, Capital International Airport, and Daxing International Airport are all expected to see peak return passenger flows during the holiday.
According to dynamic assessments by the Ministry of Transport, 36 sections of national highways are prone to congestion on October 5, mainly concentrated in provinces including Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, and Guangdong. If you plan to travel through these sections, please arrange your departure time and route reasonably.

Driving Safety Reminders for the Return Trip
Before setting out on a self-driving trip, pay attention to weather conditions and plan ahead. Be alert to rain, snow, and patchy fog, and follow proper driving practices. Please keep these holiday return travel safety tips handy.
Special Reminder
"Smart driving" is absolutely not "autonomous driving." When "smart driving" is activated, you must keep both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. It is strictly prohibited to take your hands off the wheel, look away, or fall asleep while distracted!
Special Reminder
In autumn, some highway sections are prone to patchy fog. When driving in foggy conditions, always remember to "reduce speed, maintain distance, and keep lights on."
Risk Prevention at Stations and Airports During the Return Trip
During the return travel peak, stations, airports, and similar locations see high concentrations of people and large flows of foot traffic. Parents traveling with children must stay focused and never let children out of sight. At the same time, as stations and airports are crowded public places, what other risks should you be alert to? What should you do in an emergency? Keep this safety guide handy!
