At the High-level Forum on Intelligent Electric Vehicle Development (2026) held in Beijing on April 11-12, Wang Wei, Vice President of Intelligent Industry at Li Auto, stated that due to the scarcity of "carbon-based experts," the company is dedicated to creating "silicon-based experts."
He remarked, "We have been on this path for a full five years, and this year we can say we are beginning to see results." By utilizing the Lianshan Data Science Collaboration Platform, Li Auto has replicated the capabilities of "carbon-based experts" across various roles through "silicon-based experts."
"We decided to move in this direction as early as 2021 and formally established it as an organizational strategy in early 2022," he said. Li Auto believes that the evolution of tools will drive changes in organizational structure and enhance the efficiency of user experience. "When we were defining this, GPT had not yet been invented in the United States, so our thinking preceded theirs."
