CGN Power Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 1816) has released revised Terms of Reference for its Nuclear Safety Committee, effective upon approval by the Board of Directors on October 28, 2025. The document clarifies the committee’s composition, responsibilities, and regular work processes to ensure the reliability of nuclear power plants and continued focus on nuclear safety.

Under the newly detailed guidelines, the committee consists of five members, all of whom serve as directors of CGN Power, led by the chairman of the Board. It is tasked with reviewing nuclear safety reports, conducting research and necessary oversight, and submitting observations and recommendations to the Board. The committee is required to report its work to the Board at least every half year, highlighting key nuclear safety assessments and potential areas for improvement.

The Terms of Reference also specify that the committee may invite or engage third-party advisors, including certified nuclear safety professionals, at the company’s expense. The administrative office in the Safety, Quality and Environmental Protection Department of CGN Power supports the committee’s day-to-day operations. Additionally, detailed procedures address how meetings are convened, voting rules for adopting resolutions, and protocols for recordkeeping.

The updated guidelines reinforce CGN Power’s emphasis on nuclear safety management, including the review of performance indicators, site inspections, independent investigations, and tracking of corrective measures.
