Recently, Maersk released its 2025 efficiency data, where Qingdao Port delivered an outstanding performance on the Middle East route efficiency ranking. Achieving a single-machine operational efficiency rate of 34.14 natural containers per hour, the port secured the top global position on this route, thereby continuously reinforcing its core competitiveness in container handling operations.
To further enhance operational efficiency, Qingdao Port established a specialized task force focused on precision improvements across all aspects of production organization. The port implemented seven practical measures, including "designated berthing positions" and "guaranteed yard machinery availability," creating a closed-loop management system from planning to execution. This approach has effectively eliminated operational bottlenecks, ensuring high efficiency and smoothness throughout the entire process of vessel arrival, departure, and cargo handling.
While leading the world in container handling efficiency, Qingdao Port has also achieved frequent successes in expanding its foreign trade route network. Since 2026, the port has successively launched two new foreign trade routes: a direct Australia service and the China-Thailand Express Line. These additions further densify its global route network and strengthen the port's function as a pivotal hub. Moving forward, Qingdao Port will continue to enhance its operational efficiency and service levels, fully leverage the advantages of a hub port, strengthen its industrial chain service capabilities, and contribute its port strength to building a new development paradigm and promoting high-quality development.
