Vishay Intertechnology's stock surged 14.42% in early trading on Wednesday, following the release of the company's better-than-expected fiscal first-quarter 2026 results.

The semiconductor and components manufacturer reported quarterly revenue of $839.24 million, surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of $822.82 million and representing a 17.34% increase from the same period last year. The company swung to a profit, posting GAAP earnings per share of $0.05, which beat the estimate of $0.03 and marked a significant improvement from a loss of $0.03 per share a year ago.

Management attributed the strong performance to investments in expanding capacity for high-growth, high-margin products. The company also provided an optimistic outlook for the second quarter, forecasting revenue in the range of $875 million to $905 million, which exceeds current analyst expectations. CEO Joel Smejkal stated that the company's strategy is working, with a book-to-bill ratio of 1.34 indicating continued robust demand.
