Apichope Pharmaceutical's Subsidiary Sees Clinical Trial Application for Novel Drug APH03867 Accepted

An announcement from Apichope Pharmaceutical Group Co.,Ltd. (ASX: 300723) reveals that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Guangzhou Apichope Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has received acceptance for its clinical trial application for the self-developed novel drug APH03867 tablets from the National Medical Products Administration, along with the corresponding acceptance notice.

APH03867 tablets are a new type of oral, non-peptide small molecule URAT1 inhibitor (Urate Transporter 1) independently developed by the company. By inhibiting the activity of URAT1 in the kidneys, the drug blocks the reabsorption of uric acid in the renal tubules, increases uric acid excretion, and effectively reduces serum uric acid levels. It is intended for the improvement of hyperuricemia and gout symptoms.
