Global bond index yields hit 4% for the first time since 2007

Average yields across major government bond markets have climbed to 4%, marking the first time this level has been reached since 2007, as rising oil prices intensified inflation concerns.

The Bloomberg Treasury Index yield advanced 5 basis points to 4.04%.
