On May 11th, Sensor Tower released the Top 10 global mobile game download rankings for April 2026. "Honor of Kings" surged to the top of the global mobile game revenue chart in April 2026. It was closely followed by "Last War: Survival Game," "Whiteout Survival," "Royal Match," and "Gossip Harbor," which together rounded out the top five of the global revenue ranking.

According to the latest data from Sensor Tower's App Performance Insights, "Honor of Kings" ranked first on the global mobile game revenue chart in April 2026, primarily due to its robust and intensive operational activities. The S43 season update launched on April 1st introduced new heroes, new content, and gameplay improvements; a cross-over event in mid-month linked the core game with Tencent's newly released open-world adventure spin-off "Honor of Kings: World," allowing players to obtain lottery tickets and epic skin rewards by completing tasks in the new game. Furthermore, the "Nezha 2" collaboration launched at the end of April further enhanced the IP's appeal through limited-time crossover skins. Continuous content updates, ecosystem collaborations, and highly attractive cosmetic activities collectively drove growth in player spending.

"Last War: Survival Game" ranked second on the global revenue chart, continuing its stable monetization performance. Its Easter-themed event, running into the first week of April, featured lucky draws, battle pass missions, and exclusive rewards like base skins and special effects, consistently stimulating player activity and spending willingness.

Meanwhile, "Whiteout Survival," "Royal Match," and "Gossip Harbor" also maintained strong revenue performances in April. These products all focused on refined operations around holiday events and progression experiences: "Whiteout Survival's" "Treasure Hunter" event generated the most significant revenue peak for the month; "Royal Match" launched an Easter pass and a large number of new levels; "Gossip Harbor" introduced the "Cyber Easter 2026" themed event. Overall, holiday-themed gameplay, limited-time rewards, and continuous content iteration remain crucial drivers for long-term revenue growth in mobile games.

Globally, player spending on mobile games across the App Store and Google Play reached $6.4 billion in April 2026, a month-on-month decrease of 4%. The US market contributed 30% of global revenue, China (iOS only) accounted for 16.6%, and Japan for 11.9%.

"SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL," driven by its 1st-anniversary major update, topped the global mobile game revenue growth chart for April. The April 1st event introduced new story content from the long-running anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam," specifically from "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz" and "Mobile Suit Gundam 00," and launched high-rarity mobile suits including the Wing Gundam Zero (EW) and the 00 Raiser (Final Battle Version). On April 3rd, the game recorded its highest single-day in-app purchase revenue since launch, with subsequent events and gacha pool updates further sustaining player spending enthusiasm.

Konami's "eFootball" also saw significant growth in April. Its "1 Billion Downloads Commemorative Event" offered players limited-time opportunities to acquire legendary players like Ronaldinho; while the "NARUTO SHIPPUDEN" collaboration, featuring a special Neymar player card designed with Naruto elements, further boosted event buzz and user engagement.

April's revenue growth chart also reflected the importance of active cross-category operational activities. "Delta Force: War Zone" ranked third on the revenue growth chart, with its largest revenue peak occurring during the new season update on April 15th, which introduced the new reconnaissance operator "Echo," new battlefield maps, updated zones, and premium cosmetic items. "Rock Kingdom: World" ranked fifth; this newly released open-world adventure game converted early player engagement into spending through a dense schedule of operational activities, most notably the 15-day "Goodnight, Pajama Party" clothing bundle event. "Mahjong Soul" ranked tenth, with its growth driven by a collaboration with the popular anime "Sword Art Online," which introduced series characters Kirito, Asuna, Leafa, and Sinon as playable mahjong characters, complete with themed costumes and decorations.

"Block Blast!" continued to hold the top position on the global mobile game download chart in April 2026, with "Free Fire" ranking second. "Arrows Puzzle Escape," "ROBLOX," and "Arrows GO!" entered the top five of the global download ranking.

"Block Blast!" retained its position as the global download champion in April, continuing to expand its hyper-casual gaming footprint in markets like Indonesia, India, and Brazil. With over 830 million cumulative downloads, this block puzzle game has become an industry benchmark, demonstrating how simple mechanics, fragmented experiences, and broad market reach can drive sustained global install growth.

"Free Fire" held steady at second place on the global download chart in April, maintaining global user engagement through high-frequency operational activities. The "Undersea Mystery" event launched in April invited players to explore an underwater world and obtain rare rewards; the "GINTAMA" collaboration launched at the end of the month added classic characters like Gintoki Sakata, Kagura, and Elizabeth. Themed exploration gameplay, limited-time rewards, and highly recognizable anime IP collectively helped the game continuously attract both new and returning players.

Globally, mobile game downloads reached 3.6 billion in April 2026, a month-on-month increase of 9%. India led with 613 million downloads (17.1%), followed by the United States (7.3%) and Indonesia (6.3%) in second and third place, respectively.

On the download growth chart, "Arrows Puzzle Escape" and "Arrows GO!" claimed the first and second spots, reflecting the strong market appeal of the "arrow sorting" puzzle genre. These two mobile games, with their intuitive top-down perspective controls, flat visual design, and instantly understandable game mechanics, are extremely easy for players to pick up. This design aligns well with fragmented playtime needs and facilitates easy scaling across a wide range of global markets.

"Honor of Kings: World" ranked fourth on the global download growth chart for April and topped the Chinese mobile game download chart, rapidly gaining significant market heat following its launch in March 2026. Unlike the main "Honor of Kings" title based on competitive MOBA battles, "Honor of Kings: World" expands the IP into the third-person open-world adventure genre. Through high-fantasy exploration gameplay, realistic visual presentation, and broader action role-playing (ARPG) elements, it reaches a wider player base beyond the core MOBA audience.

"NTE: Neverness to Everness" ranked sixth on the global download growth chart for April, quickly attracting a large number of players after its launch that month. As a new open-world adventure mobile game, it stands out with its third-person sci-fi setting and 3D anime-inspired art style. In a genre currently dominated by fantasy worlds, it offers a more futuristic, narrative-driven alternative. Its early popularity in markets like China, the US, Taiwan, Japan, and Indonesia indicates strong global player interest in anime-style open-world experiences with a modern sci-fi theme.

Beyond the top products, April's download growth chart also shows that simple, lightweight gameplay remains a key direction for mobile game user acquisition. "Bus Simulator India" gained significant attention with its bus driving simulation gameplay tailored to emerging market demands; "Marble Sort!" and "Bus Rush Fever!" continue to attract users through intuitive sorting mechanics, fragmented experiences, and highly repetitive gameplay. "Pistol Duel," with its lightweight arcade duel gameplay, once again proves that "simple controls + quick feedback" still possesses strong global dissemination potential.
