At the 2026 Xuantie RISC-V Ecosystem Conference held today, Meng Jianyi, Chief Scientist of Alibaba DAMO Academy, announced the launch of the new flagship processor Xuantie C950, which is claimed to be the world's highest-performance RISC-V CPU.

The Xuantie C950, developed over two years, achieves a single-core performance score exceeding 70 points (SPECint2006) for the first time. It delivers an overall performance improvement of more than three times compared to the previous-generation Xuantie C920, along with a memory bandwidth increase exceeding fourfold.

Additionally, the processor natively supports confidential computing with secure isolation and data protection, and is compatible with all mandatory and optional extensions.
