CapitaLand Ascott Trust announced on Sep, 12 2025 that its trustee, DBS Trustee Limited, has signed a facility agreement with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Singapore Branch for an uncommitted multicurrency revolving credit facility of up to 70 million Singapore dollars.

The agreement includes a clause allowing SMBC to terminate the facility if CapitaLand Ascott Trust Management Limited resigns or is removed as manager of the real estate investment trust without SMBC’s prior written consent and no acceptable replacement is appointed.

If triggered, the termination would require immediate repayment of all outstanding amounts under the facility and could prompt cross-defaults on other borrowings totalling about 3.329 billion Singapore dollars. The managers said there has been no breach of this condition as of the announcement date.
