The highly anticipated Wanli commercial and entertainment complex project on the east side of Beijing Universal Resort is about to debut!
The upcoming "Wanli" project emanates a sense of quiet anticipation. During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, the project management team from the construction group continued to work on site, installing precision equipment and making fine adjustments to connecting bridges and landscaping to ensure a spectacular opening of this "sleepless city."
The target customer base for the Wanli project extends beyond Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei travelers to include national and global vacation tourists. After opening, shuttle buses will transport visitors to and from Universal Studios, better capturing the "spillover effect."
**Wanli Project Overview**
The Wanli project represents a total investment exceeding 10 billion yuan, with a total development scale of approximately 500,000 square meters. It comprises three distinctive sections: Wangfujing WellTown, Tingyun Town, and Nuolan Hotel, which will collectively provide "all-time, all-area, all-age" cultural and tourism experiences.
The project has completed final inspections, with Nuolan Hotel set to open soon, while Wangfujing Outlet and Tingyun Town are scheduled to welcome visitors by year-end.
**Nuolan Hotel Opening Soon**
Among the three sections, Nuolan Hotel, resembling stacked crystal boxes, sits closest to Universal Studios. Inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the hotel features arched floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the surrounding greenery and Universal Studios silhouettes like giant picture frames.
Taking the elevator upstairs, the terrace of the sunset restaurant is ready. At dusk, Harry Potter's castle will be gilded by sunlight, while the laughter from roller coasters drifts over on the breeze. Hotel staff mentioned that the infinity pool is currently undergoing water quality testing, and future guests will be able to enjoy swimming while taking in the scenery.
**North China's Largest Outlet: Wangfujing Well-Town**
Crossing through the connecting corridor to Wangfujing Well-Town, three UFO-like domes immediately capture attention, with workers currently installing water feature equipment in Dome No. 2. Upon opening, this will become the "Water Realm" atrium, where water curtains will cascade from glass canopies in a display more magnificent than Singapore's Changi Airport.
The project will introduce nearly 500 brands, with flagship stores, concept stores, and image stores making their national debuts. First stores will account for 50% of the retail mix, making it North China's largest outlet and significantly boosting regional consumption vitality.
This area serves not only as a shopping paradise but also as a leisure space integrating culture, art, technology, and nature, with direct access via two subway lines, making it convenient for local residents to visit casually.
**Tingyun Town to Activate Night Economy**
Tingyun Town features an open-style district design, resembling a "mini-resort area" surrounded by fountains and greenery. Currently, the town's northern commercial street, southern accommodation area, and volcano park are essentially complete, with plans to introduce live houses, bars, dining, and other leisure formats to activate the night economy.
Throughout the town, various flagship "mystery box" stores are under intensive renovation. The northern commercial street gathers lifestyle concepts beloved by young people, including trendy treasure shops, specialty dining, and cozy wine bars. The southern area features 13 distinctive themed courtyards with varying styles, opening infinite possibilities for vacation living.
As night falls and darkness deepens, this soon-to-open "sleepless city" maintains a clear silhouette. It serves not only as a wonderful sequel to the Universal Studios experience but also as a key puzzle piece about to complete the commercial landscape of the city's sub-center.
After opening, visitors from all directions will have a more stunning conclusion to their Universal fantasy journey, while local residents will have better options for leisure and shopping.
