The next-generation SU7, unveiled at Xiaomi's Spring Product Launch on the evening of March 19, 2026, incorporates a series of safety enhancements. Key features include a 2200MPa embedded roll cage and anti-collision beams across all four doors as standard. The vehicle is equipped with nine airbags and has been developed to ensure protection for both male and female occupants across all seating positions under various conditions.

The battery pack offers high-voltage insulation with up to 17 protective layers, exceeding the new national standard for thermal runaway safety. Over 1,230 safety tests have been conducted. Additional upgrades include reinforced protection at the bottom of the battery pack with the addition of bulletproof coating, as well as a new 1500MPa anti-scratch crossbeam installed at the front of the chassis.

During the event, Lei Jun, Founder of Xiaomi Group, emphasized: "The door handle safety design is 100% compliant with the new national standard set for 2027."
