Pinestone Capital Limited (Stock Code: 804) revealed plans to change its English name from “Pinestone Capital Limited” to “DODO Asset Holdings Limited.” The existing Chinese name “鼎石資本有限公司” is to be dispensed with, and “多多資產集團有限公司” adopted as the new Chinese dual foreign name.
According to the announcement, the final approval of the change is subject to a special resolution at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM), as well as the approval of the Registrar of Companies in the Cayman Islands. Once official documentation is received, necessary filings will be undertaken with the Hong Kong Companies Registry. Following these steps, an updated stock short name, a new corporate logo, and a new website address will come into effect.
Management highlights that this proposed move aligns with efforts to reshape the corporate image and identity in light of ongoing diversification, particularly in the distressed asset settlement market. The Board views this name change as beneficial for enhancing brand positioning, expanding business reach, and strengthening partnerships in new markets.
The announcement clarifies that the change will not affect any existing rights of shareholders or the daily operations and financial position of the entity. Current share certificates will remain valid for trading and settlement purposes, with no exchange required. Upon approval, new share certificates will bear the revised name.
A circular is set to be issued detailing the proposed name change, along with a notice of the EGM. Further announcements will be made regarding the voting outcome, the effective date of the new name, and updated trading details once confirmed.
