11月14日周五，默沙东 宣布已达成最终协议，将通过其子公司以每股221.50美元的现金收购 Cidara Therapeutics, Inc.)，交易总价值约为92亿美元，后者是一家首创长效流感抗体的制药商。
知情人士透露，周四晚些时候，在卖方倾向于默沙东的报价之前，默沙东仍在与另一家制药集团竞购这家生物技术公司。
Cidara 的主要候选药物 CD388 是一种正在研究的长效、不区分毒株的抗病毒药物，目前处于 3 期临床试验阶段，旨在预防流感并发症高风险人群的流感感染。
根据 2b 期 NAVIGATE 研究的结果，美国食品药品监督管理局 (FDA) 授予 CD388 突破性疗法认定。
NAVIGATE 研究达到了所有与预防 18 至 64 岁健康未接种疫苗的成年人出现实验室确诊的症状性流感相关的主要和次要终点。
“此次收购扩大并完善了我们的呼吸系统产品组合和研发管线，”默沙东研究实验室总裁李迪安博士表示。
该交易已获得双方董事会批准，但仍需获得《哈特-斯科特-罗迪诺反垄断改进法案》(HSR)的批准以及其他惯例成交条件。
该交易预计将于 2026 年第一季度完成。
