Shanghai Electric Posts 18.2% Net Profit Growth to RMB 970 Million in First Half

Shanghai Electric Group Company Limited (601727.SH) has released its semi-annual report for 2026, revealing a robust financial performance for the reporting period.

The company achieved operating revenue of RMB 63.332 billion during the period, marking a year-on-year increase of 16.6%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached RMB 970 million, up 18.2% from the previous year.

Excluding non-recurring gains and losses, the net profit attributable to shareholders stood at RMB 550 million, reflecting a modest growth of 0.8% year-on-year. Basic and diluted earnings per share also increased during the period.

The growth is primarily attributed to the improved operational performance of the company's core business segments, which drove higher total revenue and net profit attributable to shareholders compared to the same period last year.
