Jamie Dimon revealed that JPMorgan Chase spends $2 billion annually on artificial intelligence technology development, with cost savings from these investments roughly matching the expenditure.
"We know this can save billions of dollars in costs, but I think this is just the tip of the iceberg," the JPMorgan Chase CEO said in an interview on Tuesday.
Dimon has been actively promoting the opportunities presented by artificial intelligence, even as AI implementation may displace certain job positions. He indicated that JPMorgan Chase currently has hundreds of AI use cases, and this number is likely to continue growing. He also noted that AI could help humanity cure cancer and reduce weekly working hours.
