On March 2, the coal sector experienced an afternoon surge, with China Coal Energy touching the daily limit-up and reaching its highest level since June 2008. Other coal companies, including Hengyuan Coal & Electricity, Yankuang Energy, China Shenhua, and Shaanxi Coal Industry, also followed the upward trend.
