Shanxi province has achieved a significant milestone in its forward-looking industrial strategy.

A signing ceremony was held on September 2nd for the "Shanxi Embodied Intelligence Innovation Center and Industrial, Energy, and Mining Specialized Robot Intelligent Manufacturing Project," involving the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, UBTech Robotics Corporation, and Beijing Hehao Ruisheng Technology Industry Development Co., Ltd. The project's establishment marks a crucial advancement for the province in positioning itself within the embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics sectors.

UBTech Robotics, a pioneer in China's industrial humanoid robot field and one of the few companies globally with full-stack technical capabilities in this area, brings substantial core research and development expertise to the venture. Beijing Hehao Ruisheng Technology Industry Development Co., Ltd., a partner in the project, focuses on scientific research and technical services.

Shanxi's abundant resources in the mining, energy, and industrial sectors offer a vast landscape of experimental scenarios and application opportunities for the iterative advancement of embodied intelligence technology. The project will be situated in the Xiaohe Emerging Industry Park, with a planned total investment of 1.5 billion yuan to be executed in two phases. The first phase will involve constructing a data collection and scenario testing center to establish a provincial embodied intelligence industry platform. The second phase will see the establishment of a UBTech robot factory, with the goal of creating a core intelligent manufacturing hub for robotics in North China.
