Reports indicate that HSBC (00005.HK) has moved its board meeting scheduled for this month from Dubai to London, a change driven by security considerations, as stated by sources mentioned in a Financial Times report.

The decision follows discussions with HSBC staff based in Dubai, where certain employees voiced apprehensions about safety issues.

Dubai serves as the headquarters for HSBC's Middle East operations, and the bank stands as the largest foreign financial institution in the region. In the previous year, HSBC reported a pre-tax profit of $800 million in the United Arab Emirates, a decline from the roughly $1 billion recorded the year before.
