消息面上，海南自由贸易港封关定于今年12月18日正式启动，免税商品种类将由现时1900种大幅增加至6600种，覆盖率由21%提升至74%。大摩发布研报称，预计中国中免作为海南概念股将受惠，但目前政策细节未明，关于免税牌照制度细节及如何防止代购套利等议题尚待公布，认为目前旅游零售需求复苏仍取决于宏观经济走势，下半年基数效应或有利。
万联证券指出，海南全岛封关运作对离岛免税业务影响呈现两面性。一方面，随着海南自贸港开放力度的加大，旅游业、现代服务业、高新技术产业等各产业体系逐渐建设完善，海南自贸港的国际吸引力与影响力日渐提升，带来大量国内外客流量，为离岛免税提供新的客源；另一方面，由于“零关税”商品覆盖范围大幅提高，预计海南进口商品价格将整体有所下降，削弱免税品价格优势，免税零售商将面临更加激烈的市场竞争。
