Boss Energy Ltd (BOE.AU) surged 8.02% during intraday trading on Friday, driven by a broker note that highlighted upcoming catalysts and a key leadership addition at the uranium producer.

Citi analysts pointed to positive momentum at the Honeymoon uranium project, with several key catalysts expected through early FY27, including the completion of the first wide-spaced wellfield trial and an updated feasibility study. The appointment of former Oil Search CEO Peter Botten was also cited as a positive development that should strengthen strategic and operational leadership as Boss Energy advances the project.

While Citi maintained a neutral rating and lowered its target price, the market appeared to focus on the encouraging signs of progress and the potential for Boss Energy to benefit from rising uranium demand.
