On August 26, the results of two premier global design competitions - the German Red Dot Design Award and German iF Design Award - were officially announced. LENOVO GROUP's (00992) ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable laptop (hereinafter referred to as "ThinkBook Rollable laptop") claimed both the Red Dot: Best of Best Winner award and the 2025 iF Gold Design Award through its breakthrough product form and revolutionary user experience, emerging as the standout highlight in the portable computing device category.

The German Red Dot Award, German iF Design Award, and American IDEA Award are collectively known as the "World's Three Major Design Awards," annually attracting tens of thousands of industrial design entries from around the globe. Their evaluation criteria encompass multiple dimensions including innovation, functionality, aesthetic value, and user experience, earning recognition as the "compass" for global industrial design trends. The ThinkBook Rollable laptop's sweep of the highest honors in both competitions not only represents international jury recognition of its design excellence but also validates its breakthrough solution to the core industry contradiction between "portability" and "large screen requirements."

The Red Dot Award jury praised the product for delivering a striking "wow moment" as the screen smoothly extends, while the iF Design Award jury stated directly: "LENOVO GROUP's ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable breaks away from convention, truly transcending the form factor boundaries of portable computing devices."

As the flagship model of LENOVO GROUP's ThinkBook series, the ThinkBook Rollable laptop centers on the design philosophy of "Intelligent Metamorphosis," featuring the world's first motor-driven rollable POLED screen. In its default state, the screen measures 14 inches (5:4 aspect ratio), meeting daily mobile portability needs. Through two miniature motors and a rolling mechanism integrated within the cylindrical hinge structure inside the chassis, the screen can seamlessly extend to 16.7 inches (8:9 aspect ratio), increasing display area by nearly 50%.

Unlike traditional foldable screen solutions, this product's screen can be completely housed within the chassis, combined with a brushed-finish recyclable aluminum body, achieving both "ultimate thinness" and "premium texture." It maintains the portable weight of a 14-inch laptop while providing users with creative and office space approaching that of a 17-inch large screen, perfectly resolving the industry pain point where "wanting portability means sacrificing screen size, while wanting a large screen means losing flexibility" in mobile office scenarios.

Beyond form factor innovation, the ThinkBook Rollable laptop focuses on "enhancing mobile productivity" as its core objective, building an efficient office ecosystem through hardware-software collaboration. On the hardware level, the 16.7-inch straight screen format provides broader visual space for document processing and programming development scenarios. Combined with specially developed split-screen software, multi-window operation logic becomes clearer and multi-task processing efficiency significantly improves. On the software level, as an AI PC, it can intelligently adjust system settings based on user habits and work scenarios - for example, automatically performing grammar checks during document editing and optimizing image and audio quality during video conferences. Even in offline mode, AI functionality continues to assist with personalized efficiency optimization.

The mass production and award recognition of the ThinkBook Rollable laptop represents the culmination of LENOVO GROUP's over ten years of technological accumulation in flexible display technology. As early as 2016, LENOVO GROUP launched the world's first working foldable device prototypes CPlus and Folio. Subsequently, from the foldable laptop X1 Fold to the flip-screen concept machine ThinkBook Flip, and now the rollable screen model achieving scaled production, LENOVO GROUP has consistently remained at the forefront of flexible display technology commercialization.
