The People's Bank of China has decided to authorize the London branch of Bank of China Limited to serve as the clearing bank for renminbi transactions in the United Kingdom, based on the Memorandum of Cooperation between the People's Bank of China and the Bank of England. The announcement was made on January 29, 2026.
