There has been an adjustment to the leadership team at China Life Insurance (Group) Company.

On May 21, updated information on the group's official website showed that Wang Gan, former Party Committee Secretary and General Manager of Taiping Pension Insurance Co., Ltd., has been appointed as a member of the Party Committee of China Life Insurance (Group) Company. The resume of Yang Liping, born in 1965, who previously served as a member of the Party Committee, Vice President, and Chief Risk Officer of China Life Group, is no longer listed among the leadership.

Wang Gan, born in 1975, becomes the youngest senior executive in the China Life Group leadership. He graduated from Peking University with a major in Public Administration, holds an on-the-job postgraduate degree, and a Master's in Management.

His resume indicates he previously served as Party Committee Secretary and General Manager of Taiping Pension Insurance Co., Ltd., General Manager (Director) of the Human Resources Department (Party Organization Department) at China Taiping Insurance Group Co., Ltd., Deputy Leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team stationed at China Taiping Insurance Group Co., Ltd. by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, General Manager of the International Department at China Taiping Insurance Group Co., Ltd., and Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of Taiping Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. Earlier in his career, he worked at organizations including the People's Government of Xicheng District, Beijing, and Peking University.

Yang Liping, who stepped down from her roles as Party Committee Member, Vice President, and Chief Risk Officer of China Life Group, was born in 1965 and has reached retirement age. She graduated from China University of Political Science and Law with a Master's degree in Law. She was appointed as a member of the Party Committee of China Life Group in March 2021 and later served as Vice President and Chief Risk Officer.

Prior to this, Yang Liping held positions including Chief Inspector of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, and Director of the Department for Supervision of Banking Institutions III, Department for Supervision of Banking Institutions II, and the Department for Supervision of Large State-owned Commercial Banks.

The current leadership team of China Life Group consists of: Party Committee Secretary and Chairman Cai Xiliang; Deputy Party Committee Secretary and President Li Zhuyong; Deputy Party Committee Secretary Zhang Lu; Party Committee Members and Vice Presidents Wang Kai, Li Mingguang, Lin Zhaohui, and Huang Benyao; Leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team stationed at China Life Insurance (Group) Company by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission and Party Committee Member of China Life Group Zhong Huilin; and Party Committee Member Wang Gan.
