Shandong Weigao Group Medical Polymer Company Limited (WEIGAO GROUP, 01066) released its Environmental, Social and Governance Report for the year ended 31 December 2025, detailing board-led sustainability governance, measurable environmental progress, robust workplace safety practices and expanded community investment.
Double-digit carbon reduction targets and disclosure • Direct (Scope 1) greenhouse-gas emissions totalled 3,619.09 tCO₂e, while indirect (Scope 2) emissions reached 118,068.81 tCO₂e, giving a combined Scope 1+2 footprint of 121,687.89 tCO₂e (intensity: 0.009 tCO₂e per RMB 1,000 revenue). • Total energy use was 285,932.82 MWh (0.02 MWh per RMB 1,000 revenue). Adoption of photovoltaic systems and process upgrades cut ethylene-oxide sterilant usage by 1,600 tonnes a year and saved more than 50,000 tonnes of water. • Hazardous wastewater generation was 17.23 tonnes; hazardous waste totalled 570.49 tonnes (intensity: 0.00004 t per RMB 1,000 revenue). Non-hazardous waste was 1,850.83 tonnes.
Workplace health and safety • No work-related fatalities were recorded in 2025. • Forty-seven injury cases led to 1,990 lost workdays. • Employees received extensive safety and occupational-health training; monthly quality and safety meetings are mandatory.
Human capital development • Headcount stood at 13,307 (8,045 male; 5,262 female). • Training coverage reached 59.5 % for male staff and 50.3 % for female staff; average training hours were 57.4 and 45.6 respectively. • Employee turnover rate was 18.8 % for males and 19.8 % for females.
Supply-chain and product responsibility • Active supplier base comprised 2,156 companies (2,010 Mainland China, 100 US, 46 other regions); 1,846 key suppliers were assessed on quality, ethics and ESG criteria. • No product recalls occurred; 7,371 customer complaints were received and resolved without material impact. • The group maintains ISO 13485-aligned quality systems and has zero tolerance towards data-privacy breaches and intellectual-property infringements.
Anti-corruption framework • “WEGO Ten Articles” and whistle-blowing channels underpin a zero-tolerance stance on bribery, extortion, fraud and money laundering. No concluded corruption cases were reported in 2025.
Community investment • Total social-welfare contributions reached RMB 4.82 million, including RMB 0.52 million to the Chinese Society of Blood Transfusion research fund and RMB 4.30 million to the Shanghai Educational Development Foundation. • WEIGAO GROUP received provincial awards for outstanding voluntary blood-donation initiatives.
Board-level ESG oversight The board reviews ESG strategy annually, supported by a dedicated management team and an external consultant, Riskory Consultancy. Materiality assessments identified 28 critical ESG topics, guiding KPI setting and disclosure.
