At the 2026 Yabuli Forum Summer Annual Meeting, held from September 4-6 in Chengdu, Sichuan, under the theme "Enterprise Innovation and Cycle Transition," Pu Zhongzhu, founder and CEO of Qiwu Technology, shared insights on the robotics industry. He noted that labor shortages make robotic harvesting a genuine market demand. However, even when robots deliver top-tier functionality and performance, B2B clients often face hurdles in adoption.
From the customer's perspective, they are well aware of recruitment difficulties and tight labor supply, coupled with volatile production capacity during harvesting seasons, creating an urgent need for automated robotic solutions to replace human labor. "Yet when we invite customers to trial a few robots, they often hesitate. That hesitation isn't due to a lack of confidence in our products, but because integrating a brand-new robotic or tech product into existing operational workflows requires significant adaptation and adjustment," Pu explained. For business operators, management models and daily operational processes must shift, generating substantial decision-making costs.
In his view, product suppliers cannot simply deliver machinery or AI solutions in isolation; they must also provide corresponding support services while helping clients align their management and operational processes. Only through this holistic approach can products genuinely embed into clients' daily production and operations, ultimately creating tangible value for them.
