据知情人士透露，这家脸书母公司正在组建两个新的超级政治行动委员会，旨在同时支持民主党与共和党候选人，共同应对针对人工智能技术及模型训练所需数据中心的舆论压力。以共和党为侧重的团体将率先支持拥护数据中心建设与宽松监管政策的得州官员及候选人；而偏向民主党的组织则致力于反对伊利诺伊州提出的法案——Meta等企业认为这些提案可能阻碍技术创新。
伊利诺伊州与得克萨斯州拥有全美最早的初选日程，投票活动将于未来数周内展开。此次新设的政治行动委员会是对Meta去年在加州及全美范围内为对抗监管而资助的多个组织的补充。
由于美国国会短期内难以就人工智能立法采取行动，众多AI企业及行业反对势力正积极布局各州层面的博弈。与之抗衡的是支持设立AI监管框架的团体，其中部分组织获得了Anthropic等业内其他参与者的支持。
