Bulk bags, luggage, auto parts, and daily necessities—these high-quality products from Guantao County are now reaching global markets through cross-border e-commerce platforms.

This year, the county has seized the opportunity of digital trade development, using the "One Product, One Livestream" broadcast base as a hub to build a three-pronged cross-border e-commerce system that combines "platform store setup, overseas social media traffic generation, and livestreaming sales." This initiative is injecting new momentum into stabilizing the scale and optimizing the structure of the county's foreign trade.

Where to Begin

Guantao County has strengthened policy promotion and interpretation, publicizing seven supportive cross-border e-commerce policies through multiple channels to enhance awareness, coverage, and implementation effectiveness. Enterprises settling in the "One Product, One Livestream" base enjoy full exemptions on rent and operating expenses. A cross-border e-commerce comprehensive service center has been established, staffed with dedicated personnel to provide end-to-end support for applications, operations, and guidance.

Nurturing Talent and Platforms

In terms of talent development, the county has conducted 12 specialized cross-border training sessions and provided one-on-one assistance to 10 local foreign trade enterprises, helping them set up overseas social media accounts on platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook to open precise channels for customer acquisition. Regarding platform strategy, businesses are guided to join major cross-border platforms such as Alibaba International Station, Amazon, AliExpress, and OZON. To date, the county has opened 90 cross-border online stores and has 32 cross-border e-commerce operators, with 7 new operators added in 2026, indicating continuously expanding industry scale.

Accelerating Projects and Supply Chains

Simultaneously, Guantao County is leveraging its investment attraction policies to accelerate cross-border projects and deepen corporate cooperation. The county has jointly established Hebei Jiyuan Trading Co., Ltd. with Ningbo Digital Gold Trade, which has settled in the "One Product, One Livestream" base. This company focuses on the Russian market, dealing primarily in outdoor equipment, bicycles, and auto parts. It has launched 14 cross-border stores, with 11 already listing products and entering routine operations, and 9 achieving stable orders, making it a benchmark enterprise for county-level cross-border livestreaming. Baichuan Sheng (Handan) Information Technology Co., Ltd. is investing in the construction of a cross-border e-commerce industrial park, planning to incubate 70 enterprises and train 90 professionals, with operations expected to commence within two months. Additionally, Hebei Leda Instant Distribution Supply Chain has been brought in to integrate into the express logistics co-distribution center, consolidating the networks of ZTO, J&T, and Yunda. This integration handles approximately 19,000 outbound parcels and 35,000 inbound parcels daily, providing robust support for cross-border logistics.

Measurable Success

From January to May of this year, cross-border e-commerce sales in Guantao County reached 67.924 million yuan. Among them, Guantao County Best Plastic Products Co., Ltd. achieved sales of 6.2 million yuan, ranking third in Handan City on Alibaba International Station's cross-border sales list. The effectiveness of local enterprises going global is becoming increasingly evident.

Looking ahead, Guantao County will accelerate the construction and operation of the cross-border industrial park, continue to attract high-quality cross-border operation enterprises, train professional talent for cross-border livestreaming and overseas operations in a tiered manner, and steadily grow the team of cross-border operators. By optimizing product supply structures for key overseas markets like Russia, the county aims to further amplify the driving effect of cross-border e-commerce on foreign trade, activating new momentum for county-level opening-up through digital trade.
