On the evening of August 26, a consumer filed a complaint on the Black Cat complaint platform, stating: "I spent over 1,800 yuan on JD.com's JD Index platform to purchase two sets of POP MART LABUBU third-generation blind box products. After opening them, I found empty boxes with no LABUBU toys inside. Instead, they were randomly filled with trash including old pillows, fans, slippers, and other junk."
The consumer explained, "I bought the two sets of LABUBU blind boxes as gifts. Knowing that the products are in high demand and hearing online rumors about potential counterfeits, I recorded a video while opening the packages. To my shock, I found these broken pillows, slippers, and other garbage inside."
After discovering this situation, the consumer immediately contacted JD.com customer service. "The merchant contacted me in the past two days, claiming it was a shipping error or mistake. But a shipping error implies sending the wrong product - like ordering a cup and receiving a coaster. This wasn't sending me the wrong LABUBU product; they sent me a pile of slippers, pillows, ashtrays, and other items that looked like trash collected from the street."
The consumer emphasized, "I recorded video evidence of this incident. If other consumers don't have this awareness, the merchant could deceive them one by one." The consumer has made three demands: "First, the official customer service confirmed that all LABUBU products sold are genuine with a 'fake one, compensate four' guarantee - I want compensation according to this original promise. Second, such merchants should be penalized. Third, I demand an apology from the merchant."
When contacted for verification, JD.com's official response was not available at the time of publication. However, JD Index's customer service stated, "We definitely guarantee that our products are genuine. Relevant colleagues have intervened in this matter and are currently handling it."
