Dec 01

Wilmar International Limited announced on Dec, 1 2025 that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Kuok Khoon Hong will step down as a member of both the Risk Management Committee and the Board Sustainability Committee, effective the same day.

The company said the board, acting on the Nominating Committee’s recommendation, has appointed former Singapore foreign minister George Yong-Boon Yeo to the Risk Management Committee and veteran corporate governance professional Soh Gim Teik to the Board Sustainability Committee, also effective Dec, 1 2025.

With these changes, the Risk Management Committee will consist entirely of independent directors, in line with corporate-governance best practices. Memberships of Wilmar’s Audit, Nominating, Remuneration, Executive and Share Purchase committees are unchanged, the company said.
