TENCENT (00700) rose more than 3% during morning trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 2.81%, reaching HK$530.5, with a turnover of HK$6.275 billion. On March 9, TENCENT officially launched its full-scenario AI agent, WorkBuddy. Due to its capabilities being similar to the popular "OpenClaw," the product is regarded by the industry as TENCENT's version of "OpenClaw." However, shortly after launch, user traffic far exceeded expectations, causing immense instantaneous pressure on core services. The company apologized and urgently scaled capacity by tenfold; services have now fully returned to stable operation. Citigroup released a report stating that the AI agent WorkBuddy, launched by TENCENT Cloud, may represent a significant shift in China's domestic AI paradigm from the current "chat AI" to "executive AI," holding considerable importance for the landscape of AI development in China. Analysts pointed out that WorkBuddy aims to become a "workplace AI assistant and a productivity tool accessible to everyone." Its broad accessibility for all users suggests that daily life and work will undergo profound changes.
