At a regular press conference held on April 9, the Ministry of Commerce responded to inquiries regarding rare earth export controls. When asked about reports that United States Trade Representative Greer indicated working-level talks with Beijing would take place, and whether any discussions or plans existed to further delay export restrictions, spokesperson He Yadong stated that, in accordance with the consensus reached in US-China economic and trade consultations in Kuala Lumpur, relevant export control measures announced by China on October 9, 2025, will be suspended until November 10, 2026. Both sides will maintain ongoing communication regarding their respective concerns through the established economic and trade consultation mechanism.
