According to reports citing multiple government officials, President Trump is expected to announce a proposal aimed at improving the accessibility of in vitro fertilization (IVF). In February of this year, Trump signed an executive order requiring the government to expand the reach of IVF and reduce its costs. Reports indicate that Trump is set to make this announcement on Thursday afternoon local time in the Oval Office. A White House official disclosed that the administration will issue guidance on “employer benefit options” to encourage employers to directly provide IVF and broader infertility treatment insurance for their employees.
