Air China (601111.SH) announced June 2025 operational results showing consolidated passenger traffic measured by revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) climbed year-over-year. Passenger capacity measured by available seat kilometers (ASK) increased 2.5% annually while passenger traffic rose 3.9%.
Domestic operations demonstrated contrasting trends with ASK dipping 0.2% against a 1.4% RPK gain. International routes powered the growth as capacity surged 9.9% alongside an 11.1% traffic increase. Regional markets saw capacity decline 2.2% while traffic edged up 1.5%.
The airline achieved an average passenger load factor of 81.1%, marking a 1.1 percentage point improvement over June 2024. Load factors strengthened across all segments: domestic routes gained 1.3 percentage points, international routes rose 0.8 percentage points, and regional operations jumped 2.8 percentage points.
