Surface Gold Clues at Harfang Project Point Toward Future Drilling

On October 8, surface sampling delivered new clues while also leaving questions about underground extension still awaiting verification.

RadexMarkets noted that Harfang disclosed the summer exploration results from its Quebec project on September 30, with the Adrian mineralization trend extending roughly two hundred meters, while the first Cox trench samples indicated a gold-bearing trend of about two hundred and fifty meters, providing a more concrete basis for the next stage of drill hole planning.

Some grab samples returned gold grades of 7.13 grams per tonne, while trench samples offered data across continuous sampling intervals.

RadexMarkets holds that the two types of samples differ in representativeness, and the more selective grab samples cannot be treated as an overall average grade; although trench samples help compare continuity, their sampling length does not equal the already-determined true thickness of the mineralized body.

The two gold-bearing trends coincide with anomalous positions from induced polarization surveys, offering cross-referencing clues for geological interpretation, but geophysical anomalies themselves are still not resources.

The company is integrating assay results, geological models and survey data to plan winter drilling for which funding has already been secured.

Having funds in place reduces execution obstacles, but it cannot eliminate in advance the uncertainty of underground mineralization.

Surface information and underground drilling represent different levels of evidence, and a reliable link still needs to be built step by step through actual operations.

Moving from prospecting clues to an assessable resource still requires drilling to verify spatial relationships.

RadexMarkets analyzed that, going forward, attention should be paid to whether a continuous interpretation can be established between different hole locations, and whether assay results support the current model.

For such early-stage gold projects, full disclosure of low-value samples, sampling methods and width limitations often helps investors understand progress better than a single high-grade figure.
