Legal Education Class: Learning the Law to Safeguard Holiday Travel and Protect Tourism Consumer Rights

During the National Day holiday, travel and visits to relatives and friends reach a peak, and tourism consumption disputes tend to occur frequently.

To effectively protect the lawful rights and interests of tourists, the Antu County People's Court, in conjunction with the relevant provisions of the Tourism Law of the People's Republic of China, carried out pre-holiday legal risk reminders to guide the public in preventing tourism consumption traps and to encourage rational travel and lawful rights protection.

At the travel preparation stage, people should be highly alert to marketing tricks such as "zero tour fee" and "ultra-low-price tours."

According to Article 35 of the Tourism Law of the People's Republic of China, travel agencies may not organize tourism activities at unreasonably low prices, deceive tourists, or obtain kickbacks and other improper benefits by arranging shopping or additional paid tourism items.

When signing up for a tour group, the public should choose travel agencies with formal operating qualifications, carefully study the tourism contract, focus on checking the itinerary, optional paid items, liability for breach of contract, and other contents, and should not easily trust oral promises made by businesses.

During the trip, relevant evidence such as promotional screenshots, tourism contracts, payment receipts, and chat records should be properly kept.

If tourists encounter infringements such as travel agencies changing the itinerary without authorization, forcing shopping, or reducing services, they may protect their rights in accordance with the Tourism Law of the People's Republic of China.

The rule of law is a solid guarantee for holiday travel.

By popularizing tourism-related legal knowledge, guiding the public to firmly establish awareness of lawful rights protection, it not only protects the public's tourism consumption rights and interests, but also helps create a safe, orderly, harmonious, and civilized holiday tourism environment, allowing the public to enjoy the holiday with peace of mind.
