At the 2026 Yabuli Forum Summer Annual Meeting held in Chengdu, Sichuan from September 4th to 6th, under the theme "Enterprise Innovation and Cycle Crossing," Honghu Hui founder Zou Ling shared his insights on how the AI era's most profound transformation is taking place at the organizational structure level. He argued that companies are not inherently natural entities but rather an organizational model born after the Industrial Revolution. In the past, adding a new employee to a business would increase production capacity, but it also drove internal coordination costs up exponentially.
Zou explained that artificial intelligence introduces an entirely new possibility: achieving productivity growth without bearing the heavy costs of organizational coordination. Based on this understanding, the criteria for selecting and supporting OPC (One-Person Company) projects can be summarized in ten words: low organizational density, high personal leverage. Low organizational density means that projects do not require complex management hierarchies, with highly flattened organizational structures where two or three-person teams collaborate and deeply integrate with AI agents. High personal leverage refers to how a single individual or a small team of two or three people can generate the productivity that would have previously required a workforce of dozens or even hundreds.
He noted that this is the most critical standard for evaluating projects. "At this stage, the depth of AI implementation across different industries is uneven. Some sectors have already matured significantly, such as the short-drama industry, where numerous one-person companies operated by individuals have emerged. However, in many traditional industries, the pace of AI adoption remains relatively slow," he said.
From his community's practical observations, a clear trend is emerging: more and more traditional industries are embracing this new organizational model, and even many large enterprises are adopting similar incubation structures when launching internal new projects.
