Oct 02

CONTEL (01912) announced that as of the date of the announcement, a total of 109 million shares, representing approximately 23.66% of the company's total issued share capital, were held by the public.

Accordingly, the company's public float continues to remain below the 25% minimum public float requirement set out under Rule 13.32B of the Listing Rules.

Since the announcement date, the offeror has not sold any shares, but has been actively monitoring the trading patterns and market prices of the shares to determine an appropriate selling strategy.

The offeror will continue to take the actions disclosed in the waiver announcement to restore the company's public float, namely seeking to sell shares through the open market and, where necessary, through placing agents.

Currently, the company expects to restore its public float and regain compliance with Rule 13.32B of the Listing Rules by 6 November 2026.
