Yangzijiang Maritime Development Ltd. released a statement on Apr, 01 2026 to clarify remarks made by Executive Chairman and CEO Ren Yuanlin in a TradeWinds interview dated Mar, 31 2026.

Ren reaffirmed the company’s long-standing support for Singapore Exchange, noting that SGX had backed the firm’s spin-off and listing on Nov, 18 2025. He said his earlier comments on regional market dynamics were not intended to criticise SGX, and emphasised that the company remains committed to maintaining its primary listing in Singapore.

Addressing speculation about fundraising or a dual listing in Hong Kong, Ren stated that no definitive decision has been taken and that Yangzijiang Maritime has no current plans to pursue such initiatives.

Lead Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman Teh Wing Kwan added that neither the Audit Committee nor the board has evaluated any proposal to list on another exchange, and highlighted recent improvements in liquidity and investor confidence on SGX.

The company urged shareholders to rely on its official announcements for accurate information.
