一场由主要新兴经济体组成的金砖国家集团峰会落下帷幕，但未能就美国及以色列与伊朗的战争发表联合声明。东道主印度承认，成员国在此冲突问题上存在分歧。
印度外交部在两日峰会结束后发布声明称，部分成员国对中东局势“持有不同看法”，各方“交流了多种观点”。声明指出，该组织许多成员强调了冲突带来的经济后果。
作为金砖集团成员国的伊朗，其外交部长阿巴斯·阿拉格希出席了峰会，并公开敦促金砖国家谴责美国及以色列针对其国家的军事行动。
金砖集团最初以巴西、俄罗斯、印度和中国为核心，后来逐步扩展——首先纳入南非，形成“金砖国家”（BRICS）的缩写，随后又吸收了埃及、埃塞俄比亚、印度尼西亚、伊朗、沙特阿拉伯和阿拉伯联合酋长国。
