A fresh reminder for drivers—at midnight tonight (August 28th), domestic refined oil product prices are scheduled for a new round of adjustments.
Market forecasts indicate a substantial price increase is on the horizon, potentially pushing the cost of a full tank up by more than 14 yuan.
Influenced by the continued surge in international crude oil prices, expectations for an upward adjustment have been climbing steadily, now entering a significant increase range. If this trend persists, both 92-octane and 95-octane gasoline could see their 11th price increase of the year after this round of adjustments.
According to institutional projections, domestic gasoline and diesel prices are expected to rise by 360 yuan per tonne, which translates to an increase of approximately 0.28 to 0.30 yuan per litre. This means filling up a 50-litre tank would cost an extra 14 to 15 yuan.
The final adjustment figures will be subject to the official announcement from the National Development and Reform Commission.
