As the National Day holiday approaches, railway public security authorities are reminding the general public that flying birds, operating unmanned aircraft, or releasing kites, balloons, sky lanterns, and other low-altitude floating objects within 500 meters on both sides of railway power line conductors is prohibited.

According to the Guangdong Province Railway Safety Management Regulations, those who violate the above provisions shall be ordered by public security authorities to make corrections, with individuals fined between 500 and 2,000 yuan, and entities fined between 10,000 and 50,000 yuan.

Public security authorities remind that drones intruding into controlled airspace within the railway lines and the prescribed range on both sides, or flying over railway lines, violates laws and regulations including the Public Security Administration Punishments Law of the People's Republic of China, the Interim Regulations on Unmanned Aircraft Flight Management, and the Measures for the Safety Protection and Management of High-Speed Railways, and shall be subject to administrative penalties such as fines and detention in accordance with the law; if a crime is constituted, criminal liability shall be pursued in accordance with the law.

According to a notice from Lechang railway police, since the beginning of this year, multiple individuals have been given administrative penalties by public security authorities for flying drones and agricultural drones without permission within 500 meters along the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway.

Railway police remind that with the National Day holiday approaching, to ensure railway transportation safety, those who need to fly near railways for production, emergency rescue, or other operational needs must submit applications to the relevant railway departments in advance, and only after approval may they fly at designated times and in designated areas.

Citizens and passengers can call the Lechang East Station Police Station of the Guangzhou Railway Public Security Division at 020-61351513 for inquiries or to report violations, working together to maintain railway safety.
