On September 25, as the renovation project of the former Changsha Municipal Environmental Sanitation Machinery Factory Film and Culture Industrial Park was successfully signed at the key cultural and tourism investment cooperation ceremony during the Fifth Hunan Tourism Development Conference, this stretch of old factory buildings at No. 239 Yuanda Road is quietly awaiting transformation and is expected to take on a new appearance within the year.

According to Changsha State-owned Assets Holding Group, this over half-century-old factory building will be transformed into a cultural and tourism industrial park integrating film, culture, and digital technology under the support of Galaxy Cool Entertainment.

The former Changsha Municipal Environmental Sanitation Machinery Factory was established in 1972, primarily engaged in environmental sanitation vehicle modification and traffic facility production. It was once a key manufacturer designated by the former Ministry of Construction for producing specialized environmental sanitation vehicles and served as an important witness to Changsha's industrial development. The company was dissolved in 2020. After being acquired by Changsha State-owned Assets Holding Group in 2023, it was handed over to its subsidiary, Changsha State-owned Assets Operation Co., Ltd., for management.

The project covers an area of 14,421.77 square meters with a total building area of 9,546.25 square meters. Due to aging building structures and outdated facilities, it had long been in a state of inefficient utilization. To fully tap into the potential of this asset, Changsha State-owned Assets Operation Company conducted systematic asset inspections of the factory buildings, reinforced and renovated dangerous structures, and improved the infrastructure of the factory area.

During the project attraction process, the spacious space released by the initially renovated factory area and the preserved industrial charm precisely matched the needs of Galaxy Cool Entertainment's film and cultural creative industry, laying the foundation for revitalizing this industrial site.

Galaxy Cool Entertainment, as a company deeply rooted in the cultural content industry, has accumulated rich experience in IP development and resource integration, possessing full-chain operational capabilities from content creativity to industrial implementation. The company excels at systematic integration and value recreation of cultural resources, forming an efficient operational system covering content incubation, IP development, and multi-dimensional derivatives. With its "local cultivation" DNA, Galaxy Cool Entertainment was also one of the first representative enterprises to settle in Malan Mountain Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park.

This participation in the renovation project of the former Changsha Municipal Environmental Sanitation Machinery Factory represents an important measure for the company to transform its accumulated expertise in content and culture into physical space operational capabilities.

According to the project manager, the project is planned to begin renovation and construction within the year, with partial main business operations expected to start trial operations in May 2026, and full opening to the public in October. The project will adhere to the core concept of "perpetuating urban memory and co-creating daily life," shaping it into a "new urban cultural space complex" and "composite cultural consumption scenario" with sustained vitality.

In terms of hardware infrastructure, this industrial heritage site will preserve the historically significant industrial buildings of the factory area, cleverly utilize the lush camphor tree clusters in the factory area, while introducing innovative business formats such as themed dining and new retail to enhance the project's influence and appeal among younger demographics, creating a space with strong scene-based experiences and consumption appeal.

In project content development, Galaxy Cool Entertainment will fully leverage its resource integration and operational advantages in the content creativity field to promote the organic integration of industrial heritage with contemporary lifestyles. The renovated factory area will be developed into a composite cultural and creative community integrating content production, new retail spaces, cultural experiences, and leisure consumption. It will not only include professional shooting scenes and multimedia content workshops but also introduce curatorial commerce, lifestyle brands, and public cultural activities, helping to upgrade the area and achieve creative connections between industrial heritage and urban life.
