In recent days, the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, has integrated problem-oriented and goal-oriented approaches, concentrating on critical sectors and pivotal processes to effectively address public concerns and standardize market order through robust measures. The bureau has earnestly carried out safety inspections for the quality of gas appliance products. Focusing on home appliance retailers in township areas, law enforcement officers meticulously examined whether water heaters and gas stoves on sale were equipped with flame failure protection devices, possessed 3C certification, and complied with current national standards. They educated operators on the requirements for mandatory product certification (CCC) and product quality safety standards, providing guidance to enhance quality control and mitigate safety risks. A total of over 50 law enforcement personnel were deployed, resulting in the issuance of two "Notices for Rectification." A comprehensive campaign to regulate adult product stores near school campuses has been launched. Integrating the governance of the surrounding environment of schools into routine regulatory priorities, law enforcement officers strictly verified the business qualifications of adult stores and the compliance of their locations. They carefully inspected whether "Minors Prohibited" signs were posted at the entrances and took legal action against violations involving the illegal establishment of adult product stores near schools. Officers combined enforcement with public legal education, informing operators of their legal responsibilities and social obligations to protect minors, and guiding merchants toward compliant and self-regulated operations. Significant efforts are underway to enhance the quality standards of online catering services. Targeting online food delivery platforms, inspections primarily focused on license verification and information transparency. Simultaneously, food safety checks were conducted on merchants registered with these platforms, scrutinizing key areas such as raw material procurement and storage, food preparation processes, environmental hygiene, and pest control facilities. The bureau urged strict adherence to systems for obtaining certificates and invoices, as well as for inspecting incoming goods. Over 360 online catering merchants were inspected, leading to the rectification of 16 identified issues.
